FF #31:

As longtime DF fans know, I’ve been heading TEAM SUE since my 29th post. It’s a make-believe organization dedicated to getting excited when Sue Storm does something interesting.

The characters in this issue do a lot to ruin Team Sue, including panels like this, where Reed orders Sue to respond to an earthquake by hiding. Apparently he’s a supergenius who forgot that her she is the only member of the team with the ability to block the falling rubble.

DON’T GET EXCITED. IT’S ACTUALLY GOING TO BE A TERRIBLE SERIES OF POSTS.

I found the run from the 20s to 30s kind of hard to get through, it had kind of settled into a formula at that point. On the other hand, it's not that long until Joe Sinnoit takes over as inker, which is when the book really comes together, with Jack Kirby dropping a million cool ideas at once

Yeah, I can totally see that. This Moleman issue is basically the same as the last two Moleman adventures. The part where the Avengers just show up to say hello is odd as well. I’m determined to read through these properly, but dang it, I’m tempted to skip ahead to when things get cool again.

Fox Possibly Shortlists Their First Actress for FF Reboot:

Chronicle director Josh Trank’s The Fantastic Four reboot is supposed to start filming next month for a 2015 release, so it’s kind of odd that nary a cast member has been announced yet. But the dry spell might be coming to an end, as it’s being reported that Allison Williams is on the shortlist for an unspecified role (but it’s probably Sue Storm, who’re we kidding?).
